Welcome to Spam Control! All University of Illinois users with an @illinois.edu address have tools to manage spam, create safe or block sender lists and choose a spam policy that best suits their preferences. The Spam Control server generates a daily digest email "From: firstname.lastname@example.org" that contains the list of suspect messages with links to the messages in quarantine. From that email, users can access the messages and chose to: "Release", "Release and Safelist" the sender, or declare the message as "Not Spam". Details about managing your spam control account preferencecs can be found in the Spam Control FAQ.
- Suspect emails are held in quarantine for 10 days before being deleted.
- Suspicious email that make it through the firewall can be sent to: email@example.com. This email will be automatically submitted to our vendor for evaluation and rule update if needed.
